Warm Intro: Jess Sloss
Ambitious Founders, Grindslop, and Cognitive Services
Jess carries the title of Instigator at Seed Club and it fits better than most job titles do. As the social token incubator backed by leaders across crypto and the creator economy, Seed Club is built on the premise that communities deserve ownership, and Jess has spent a career arriving early to exactly that kind of idea. Before Seed Club, he moved through music industry digital strategy, real estate collaboration tools, systematic DeFi exposure, and the earliest wave of security tokens. He's put 20 million views on a poetry video, helped an indie band land a major label deal, and driven a TukTuk across Indonesia. An ADIN scout, he brings that same instinct on finding the thing that's about to matter, and then pushing.

What investor advice would you give to early startups?
Too much to say here, but this insight from @mvernal is relevant and important "as the cost of writing software drops to zero, I find myself valuing ambition above all else. Unreasonable, unrelenting ambition."
What’s one product you use everyday?
What industry or niche are you most excited about?
Cognitive services. I think AI, and it's ability to generate and capture context, will enable aggregation like dynamics in industries that have so far been immune to aggregation. Cognitive Services are knowledge work that have thus far been constrained by labor, relationships and human context. I bundle legal ai (Harvey/Legora/Spellbook/Kirkland rolling their own) into this, but I think thats the biggest/easiest place ai will be applied. I think it extends to many others and likely unlocks new marketplace opportunities.
